Located in a lovely building that was once the Carolles casino this accommodation offers the
perfect base for any holiday in Normandy. The building is less than
100 metres from the Carolles beach and only 12kms from the
centre of the thermal resort town of Granville. With Mont
Saint Michel only 44kms away and all the other Normandy attractions
such as the D-Day beaches within easy reach this apartment
can be the base for either a relaxing beach holiday or one
spent exploring this lovely area of La Manche in Normandy.
The apartment is situated at the foot of the impressive Carolles
cliffs on the edge of the Bay of Mont Saint Michel. There are steps
near the apartment that lead up onto the cliffs which offer spectacular
views towards Granville and across the bay to Cancale. The footpath
along the cliffs forms part of the GR223 coastal footpath that
runs from Honfleur, near Le Havre to Avranches, near Mont St Michel.
If you follow this path along the cliffs for a couple of kms you
will see the fantastic view of Mont St Michel across the bay. As
the coast faces directly west I would strongly recommend a walk
along the cliff path to see the sunset.
Also atop the cliff is the picturesque village of Carolles just
a couple of kms away. This is the ideal place to collect fresh
croissants each morning and there is also a tourist office in the
centre of the village.
